Having taught in New Zealand, Australia and the UK, Vaughan is fascinated with the different ways in which schools use time. This led him to his current PhD studies at the University of Cambridge, where he is researching teachers’ workload and how it relates to pupil attainment and teacher retention. His theory is that less can be more. Prior to his PhD studies, Vaughan has worked as a counsellor, teacher, HOD, Director of Digital Development, and Vice Principal.
