Children’s mental health charity Place2Be has commissioned a UK-wide piece of research into where young people go for support for emotional wellbeing and mental health concerns.
At this session, we will discuss the key findings from the research on:
- Young people’s biggest stress points
- Who/where they turn to in times of need
- What stops them asking for help
We will discuss the implications of these findings for current mental health provision in terms of face-to-face interactions as well as digital support, particularly outside of school hours.
What role should schools play in out of hours support? How can service providers and charities support this? And following several months of negative press around the potential misuse of social media platforms, what role does, or should, technology play in this?
Question: What mechanisms will there be for audience participation? Could we use SLIDO or other tech to involve audience in the debate?
