Get talking in class: embedding oracy in every lesson

Despite a wealth of evidence as to its importance for students’ success in school and life beyond, verbal communication currently has meagre status within our education system. New research has demonstrated the appetite from educators for more time for talk, support for developing speaking skills and resources for rhetoric. Based on the evidence from recent EEF trials, this session will provide practical strategies to enhance oracy in your class (regardless of your subject) and enable every child to find their voice.
