Engaging with research and reducing teacher workload: happy bedfellows or arch rivals?


In the past few years there has been an increasing focus on teachers engaging with research to inform their practice – but also a drive to reduce teacher workload. Are these two ideas incompatible, or can engaging with research actually help us to be more effective AND efficient in the classroom? With examples from research, practice and everything inbetween, this session explores how to make research engagement a friend, not a foe
