Writing to learn: embedding evidence-informed writing in secondary classrooms
8 July | 11:15 am - 12:00 pm
Helping pupils to write effectively can often seem like one of the most difficult responsibilities a secondary teacher possesses. Without seeking to downplay the complexity of teaching writing, this session will provide support to educators hoping to prioritise writing development in their classroom by outlining a range of evidence-informed strategies that can be adapted across the full range of attainment and subject contexts. It will also prompt discussion and reflection about what excellent writing entails, and about how teachers can guide their pupils towards producing their very best work.
