Working effectively with your TA to promote inclusion in the primary classroom
8 July | 10:00 am - 10:45 am
There is a wide body of literature and guidance for schools leaders about TA deployment and many books aimed at teaching assistants about how to be a good TA. But there is little for the classroom teachers, who are responsible for the day to day deployment of TAs, about how to work effectively with their TA to promote children’s learning and wellbeing. This session will look at how to fill this gap, helping teachers to develop practical strategies to work more effectively with their TA ensuring that they promote inclusion, rather than becoming a barrier to it.
