Understanding and evaluating your impact: an introduction

The session will focus on how we translate evidence-informed practice to particular school contexts. What evaluation approaches, tools and methodologies can we use to assess if a strategy or intervention has worked here? A practical overview of approaches to impact evaluation, and an overview of assessment tools, strategies and systems to make this work without increasing workload. There will be a particular focus on methods for reliably evaluating non-academic outcomes such as meta-cognition, self-efficacy and motivation. There will also be a case study of one of our partner schools who have successfully integrated these approaches into their planning and strategy.
