Storytelling and climate change – when the future is scary
8 July | 11:15 am - 12:00 pm

This interactive session will introduce educators to storytelling about climate futures, a creative and emotionally supportive way to incorporate environmental themes into a range of subjects. We will start by exploring the emotions students and teachers feel about climate change. Participants will then take part in a “time travel” exercise (https://www.thelongtimeacademy.com/practices) and share their experience of thinking about past and future generations. The session will close with a short discussion on how school can prepare young people for climate futures.
