Meadowsong: Exploring the wonders of wildflower habitats through the power of song, the arts and connected learning.

8 July | 12:15 pm - 1:00 pm

Meadowsong is a dynamic, immersive programme that aims to encourage and inspire learners to deepen their knowledge of the natural world, and to develop an emotional connection to the beautiful, rich habitat of the wildflower meadow. This programme for primary schools combines the arts, English, science and outdoor learning and been developed around the song cycle ‘Meadowsong’. In the FoE session, the music and words of one of the songs will be introduced as a starting point for practical and imaginative exploration of a particular aspect of the wildflower habitat.  Through responding to images and words, singing and movement, participants will work individually and in groups to discover some of the wonders of wildflower meadows.
