Inspiring Young People to Take Action for Change
8 July | 11:15 am - 12:00 pm
In this fun and interactive workshop participants will experience the new, engaging lesson plans from the ‘Non-violent Action: A Force for Change’ project. These freely available, cross-curricular materials aimed at students aged 8-14 provide inspiring case studies of people from around the world taking action for change and enable teachers to develop active citizenship in the classroom. Philosophy for Children (P4C) is used throughout the materials to develop and deepen critical thinking and examine controversial issues. The materials are highly relevant to young people today who are passionate about issues such as climate change, equality and human rights.
