The world of work over the next decade will experience significant transformation and will have far reaching and long-lasting effects on the labour market. Young people will need to develop a core set of essential skills to enter employment. This session will explore the emerging finding from NFER’s programme of research providing new evidence-based insights about the types of essential skills that will be needed and what role the education system can play in the transformation of the future of work.
