How can schools embed uniform policies that fit all students?
8 July | 12:15 pm - 1:00 pm
School uniform policies should set out guidelines for students on clothes that allow them to comfortably engage in school life, but can sometimes unintentionally discriminate. Abi Angus, Senior Researcher at the Centre for Education and Youth, chairs this panel discussion on how school uniform policies can be designed to be inclusive of cultural, religious and gender differences. Join Abi, Vanessa Joshua from CfEY, and a panel of teachers, young people and legal practitioners, to hear about the impact of discriminatory uniform policies on students, and how school communities have worked together to make sure their uniform is a good fit for all their students.
