How can schools and youth organisations support each other to provide young people with high quality careers information, advice and guidance?

8 July | 3:30 pm - 4:15 pm

Careers guidance is a broad church of different activities and interventions over time for young people. While schools and colleges have a statutory obligation to provide pupils with careers programmes that align with the Gatsby Benchmarks, meeting these requirements can be tough. Youth organisations also have a key role to play in supporting young people’s careers, and many do so already, often helping those deemed ‘hardest to reach’. Effective support and collaboration between schools, colleges and youth organisations can significantly enhance young people’s experience of careers IAG – this panel looks at what is needed to make this work.
