Enabling Young Changemakers
7 July | 11:15 am - 12:00 pm
SEEd has piloted and had some reall tangible success with this action learning based project for secondary aged students. Using an inquiry based learning model with transformative pedagogies this programme piloted at Wellington College has led to changes in attitude, deeper understanding of sustainability and some issues related to it and an overwhelming sense of agency in students. Their reflections show how they feel now they can make a difference – which is so important when we know how students feel about both the climate crisis and the ecological crises. The workshop will explian the method and how to embed it in your school. Ana Romero from Wellington College will outline the competency frameworks we used to understand and articulate learning outcomes .
