Embedding a Whole School Approach To Mental Health and Wellbeing

Effective whole school mental health provision encompasses comprehensive provision of universal and targeted interventions. It considers how governors and leaders can drive change. It acknowledges the challenges that teachers face looking after their own wellbeing whilst juggling the welfare, wellbeing and education of students when they may have no understanding of the complexities of mental health. It is educating both young people and parents to ensure that interventions are impactful. But every context is unique, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. This session will offer a clear framework and practical ideas as to how to embed an effective whole school approach.
