Changing cultures: the ‘what went wells’ and ‘even better ifs’ in a new Senior School

Thomas’s Battersea Senior School opened with the first Year 9 cohort in September 2021, transitioning from a successful Prep School to a school that will eventually operate from Reception to Year 13. This session considers the ‘what went wells’ and ‘even better ifs’ of a decision that resulted in a huge change in culture, including those related to the expansion of age groups, a new vision, a curriculum redesign project and a vastly different Teaching and Learning Policy.
