Applying Virtual Reality & Immersive Technology to Enhance the Curriculum

The session will outline how virtual reality and immersive technology has enhanced the curriculum and support services within Runshaw College. An evidence-based approach from staff-led action research projects demonstrates how teaching, learning, assessment and support are enhanced by using virtual reality and immersive technology. Stimulated and virtual training environments create new and exciting opportunities to engage learners and develop appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviours. The use of VR can also assist learners with developing coping strategies to overcome anxiety and support positive mental health.
