A community approach to building a fair education system for all

7 July | 10:00 am - 10:45 am

By age 11 poor children average nine months behind their richer peers. Almost half of this gap is related to what happens at home. We believe that the community around the school have an important role to play in education and can have a significant impact on pupil outcomes. In this session we will look at the role of communities in tackling educational inequality in the UK and learn how schools and community can work together.
