Dual-qualified as a Solicitor and Chartered Company Secretary, Katie has significant experience in providing governance support to Local Authorities, maintained schools and federations, academies and MATs.

She regularly writes and speaks on governance issues and is the author of ‘How to Run an Academy Trust’, ‘ICSA Certificate in Academy Governance’ and ‘Handbook of Academy Governance’.

Katie is currently pursuing a Doctorate researching internal governance structures and schemes of delegation in multi-academy trusts.
