Initially an English and Drama teacher, Carly Waterman has worked in education since 1999. Across four Northamptonshire secondary schools, Carly has had a range of leadership roles, including Deputy Headteacher at Northampton School for Girls and Headteacher at Lodge Park School in Corby. Carly has also worked as a Northamptonshire Trust Chair and is currently a Trustee for Northampton Primary Academy Trust. Carly has also worked independently as a leadership consultant, delivering training for organisations such as ASCL and researching flexible working for the DfE. From Nov 2022, Carly was the Director of ECT at Ambition Institute, and is now back where she belongs, in school, as the Principal of Sharnbrook Academy in Bedfordshire.
