Rob Webster is a researcher at the Centre for Inclusive Education, UCL Institute of Education, where he also leads the Maximising the Impact of Teaching Assistants (MITA) initiative. Rob has directed two large-scale studies of the educational experiences of pupils with high-level SEND in mainstream and specialist settings. He previously worked on the ground-breaking Deployment and Impact of Support Staff project. Rob’s published works include the Education Endowment Foundation’s Making the Best Use of Teaching Assistants guidance report, two acclaimed books – Maximising the Impact of Teaching Assistants and The Teaching Assistant’s Guide to Effective Interaction – and numerous journal articles.
