Patrick Toland has a background as a Housemaster, Head of PSHE/Life Skills and Co-Curricular and also as a Head of Boarding. He is currently the Director of two third sector social enterprises that focus on providing residential care and support for vulnerable young people and adults. He is the convener of the BSC Ireland Conference (for Boarding schools in Ireland) and is also undertaking his Doctorate with a special interest in Trust in Schools and Attachment. He is a member of the PSHE Association and Association of Research Managers and Administrators. He is also a BSA Fellow and the BSA Safeguarding Forum representative for Ireland.
