Teacher, Carwarden House Community School
Maria Ramsay is a sixth form teacher and SLE at Carwarden House Community School. Carwarden’s students have a wide range of needs including moderate learning difficulties, autism, Down syndrome, and SLCN. Maria is passionate about supporting young people to fulfil their potential both in and outside the classroom environment and fiercely believes that everyone has a right to independence in future life. Maria is the lead teacher in Carwarden’s collaboration with Wellington College which has resulted in the partnership achieving ‘Best Independent/State Maintained Collaboration’ at the TES Independent School awards.
