Jude is a former secondary school English teacher who trained and worked in Yorkshire before relocating to teach in the London boroughs of Southwark and Lewisham. In 2016, she moved to Cambridge to start a PhD in Education. Her primary research interest is teachers’ working conditions in the state funded and private education sectors in England. The three-year mixed-methods PhD study explores workload, accountability and stress across both sectors and seeks to identify the conditions that are optimal for teacher job satisfaction.
