Mrs Jane Lunnon was appointed Head of Wimbledon High School in September 2014 having been Deputy Head, Assistant Director of Studies and Head of English at Wellington College previously. She also spent five years at Prior’s Field School in Surrey, an independent girls’ day and boarding school, where she started as Head of Sixth Form before being promoted to Deputy Head. She re-joined Wellington in 2010 as Senior Deputy Head and played a key role in its Senior Leadership Team. Jane is an English graduate from the University of Bristol and began her career in marketing before taking up teaching. She is married and has two children.

Jane is passionate about ensuring academic excellence is underpinned by outstanding pastoral care within an engaging curriculum and equally stimulating co-curriculum. Education should be all about fun. “I’m a firm believer in the individual – there is no ‘one size fits all’. Education is about the joy of discovery, about the delight in the adventure of learning and about developing a zest for all that school and life can offer.”
