Emily joined the Education Policy Institute in November 2015 as Director of Mental Health. She is the principal author of ‘The performance of the NHS in England in transforming children’s mental health services’ and ‘Children and Young People’s Mental Health: Time to Deliver’. Prior to joining EPI, she ran the Equality for Mental Health campaign with Norman Lamb MP, Alastair Campbell and Andrew Mitchell MP. Emily was formerly Special Adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister, with responsibility for Health and Welfare policy from 2013 to 2015. She has also worked for the Prison Reform Trust and the Driver Youth Trust.
