Anne-Marie Canning

Director of Widening Participation, King’s College London

Anne-Marie Canning is the Director of Widening Participation at King’s College London. In this role she provides leadership and strategic direction for full lifecycle widening participation across the institution. Anne-Marie is a member of the Universities UK Social Mobility Ministerial Advisory Group and recently served as Chair of the Russell Group Widening Participation Association.
Anne-Marie has previously worked at University College Oxford and holds University of Oxford Teaching Award. She was educated at University of York and served as the president of the students’ union there. Anne-Marie is now an associate governor at the Archer Academy, a comprehensive free school.
