Andy Tharby is an English teacher with 11 years of classroom experience at a secondary school in West Sussex. He has worked as a research lead and as a literacy coordinator, and is currently working with teachers to improve provision for high-attaining students. His main interests are in helping classroom teachers to enhance their practice through engagement with evidence and theory. He writes a blog, Reflecting English, and he is a co-author (with Shaun Allison) of the hugely successful Making Every lesson Count. He is currently writing as follow-up: making Every English lesson Count.
