After a 20 year career in Financial Services where her final role was Director of Marketing and Communications with the Tenet Group, in 2005, Alison decided to take her experience into the classroom. This decision was fuelled by her passion for consumers to be financially educated and able to make informed financial decisions. For 7 years she delivered the LIBF Financial Capability qualifications to children and young people in Kent before joining the organisation in 2012. Throughout her time in the classroom and since joining the organisation she has worked determinedly to raise awareness of the need for financial education. Her work also focuses on opportunities for women in finance where she has been working with organisations such as HSBC to help promote careers in the sector. She is a member of the Church of England Lifesavers board, a trustee of a Multi Academy Trust and is working with the DfE on the design of the new T Levels.
