Ahmed Baghdady is an education and research management professional with over twenty years’ experience in education, research, and program management. He is currently the Research and Content Development Manager at the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), an initiative of Qatar Foundation (QF). Ahmed has been with QF for eleven years where he held research and program management positions. Prior to joining QF, Ahmed has held program management positions with the Institute of International Education (IIE) in Qatar and AMIDEAST in Egypt for seven years. He started his career as an instructor of English in 1995, and taught various language and teacher training programs at several institutions including the American University in Cairo. Ahmed has Masters (MSc) and Doctor of Education (EdD) degrees in Educational Leadership from the University of Leicester. His research focuses on the leadership dynamics in university branch campuses and their implications on policy and practice. Ahmed has co-authored a number of research reports in addition to a few single-author publications, the latest of which is a book chapter on higher education policy in Qatar in an edited volume published by Palgrave McMillan in 2016. He presented in several international conferences on higher and transnational education.
