Eleanor Stringer

Eleanor is Head of Programmes at the EEF. Her responsibilities include managing a range of projects currently being evaluated by the EEF, as well as overseeing the EEF’s work on Developing Effective Learners theme, which includes the guidance report on Metacognition and Self-regulated learning  and overseeing the recent Using Digital Technology to Improve Learning guidance.

She is currently on secondment helping to establish the new Youth Futures Foundation, focusing on tackling youth unemployment. Before joining the EEF in August 2011, she worked for Social Finance and the charity sector think tank and consultancy, New Philanthropy Capital. She is a trustee of the specialist grant-maker London Housing Foundation and a councillor in Merton, with Cabinet responsibility for Schools and Adult Education.
