Beccy Earnshaw

Beccy is Director of Voice 21 – a charity with a mission to get talking in class! Established within School 21 in Stratford in 2015, Voice 21 now works with over 500 schools and 4000 teachers across the UK providing professional development, school improvement support and resources for oracy, and leads a national campaign to increase the status of spoken language in our education system.

Prior to obsessing about oracy, Beccy was the founding Director of Schools NorthEast and worked for The Children’s Commissioner for England, The Electoral Commission and the Hansard Society. She trained as a journalist and started her career captioning debates in the House of Commons for BBC Parliament – a great grounding for recognising good and bad oratory!
