In the last few years there have been huge leaps in the cutting edge of technology, with the capacities of our computers and mobile devices growing year on year. However, away from the shiny new consumer tech, there has also been a revolution in low cost technology that is open enough for young people to make some amazing projects, learning as they go. This talk will explore the new opportunities for young people to do cutting edge work in technology, and the programmes the Raspberry Pi Foundation run to help them to do this. Everything from learning to start programming, to running code in space on the International Space Station is now possible. For educators there will be lots of free opportunities highlighted for getting involved in this exciting new direction.
