How to drive school improvement with teachers at the heart

The only people who can get a school out of special measures are the teachers. Our job in leadership is to create the environment for them to do that. This involves significant investment in their development, creating systems which explicitly support them, and in creating a culture where they have true professional status.
This session will give practical ways in which schools can refocus their improvement strategies to put teachers at the heart, and explores the outcomes of such an approach.
Will give real school examples but also will refer to research and theory around reducing Within School Variance and why consistency should not be a dirty word.
