This interactive session will explore lessons from the evaluation of a two year pilot project to embed learning through the arts in the primary curriculum. This CPD based project is funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation for seven projects across the four home nations and firmly located in the context of enhancing learning for disadvantaged pupils. There are surprises about, for example, the interface between arts practitioners, school leaders and teachers and tackling disadvantage. There are great examples of exciting successes to build on in relation to focus, supporting reflection and building deep partnerships between schools and arts practitioners too.
