In March 2018, the formal period of transition is over for implementing the SEND reforms outlined in the Children and Families Act 2014. The reforms were supposed to improve provision and simplify the system, but is it working as it was intended to? As Ministers shift away from policy and focus more on provision, this session will explore whether the all building blocks for a truly inclusive education system are in place. Around 14% of all learners in England have SEND and they attend every type of school, so this is an area of national importance.
