The Careers & Enterprise Company was set up by government to inspire and prepare young people for the fast-changing world of work. Using the blueprint provided by the Gatsby Foundation, they support schools and colleges to understand best practice, make strategic plans and, crucially, connect with employers to provide meaningful encounters with the world of work. Long-term, sustainable partnerships between business and education are key. The session will explore how Burberry is helping to tackle educational inequality across Yorkshire and the Humber through a five year partnership with the Careers & Enterprise Company and Teach First, and share some lessons for those in the room to put into practice.
