Are examinations killing us? A young person’s view

Mental health issues in young people are seemingly common. This session considers whether too much pressure is put on young people especially as a result of examinations, mocks and in-class assessments. How much are our assessment and examination regimes impacting negatively on mental health and what can we do about it? The panel, chaired by me, Tara, a 16-year old, and including a member of the UK Youth Parliament, a mental health specialist and an educational psychologist, will discuss this topic and what can be done to address the stress.
